United Kingdom Salary Calculator
In the UK, personal income is taxed progressively, with rates ranging from 20% to 45%. For the 2024/2025 tax year, the tax bands are as follows: 20% on income between £12,570 and £50,270, 40% on income from £50,271 to £125,140, and 45% on income above £125,140. The personal allowance is £12,570, which means individuals pay no income tax on earnings up to this amount. However, for every £2 of income over £100,000, the allowance is reduced by £1, resulting in no personal allowance for incomes of £125,140 or more.
In Scotland, the tax bands and rates slightly differ.
