Position

As a Backend Engineer with expertise in Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, and Redis, you will be a crucial part of our Innovation Team. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain the backend infrastructure of our software platform powering multiple products.

What you move

You will be working in a diverse and agile environment, collaborating closely with teams from various backgrounds and expertise. Alongside your team, you will be developing and maintaining innovative applications that are at the forefront of our business solutions.
Your primary responsibilities include:

• You work on and are responsible for end-to-end product features, from design, implementation, testing, to deployment and monitoring
• You ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability are prioritized throughout the development process
• You play an active role in representing and promoting our platform and products, both internally within the organization and externally to partners and clients
• You provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, facilitating their growth and helping them develop their engineering skills
• You collaborate within a diverse, multinational team, together with colleagues from Netherlands, Switzerland, Latvia and other countries

Your qualification

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowships, or work experience
• Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in web application development, with a strong focus on backend engineering using Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, and Redis
• Deep understanding of web application architecture and design principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with fellow engineers and product designers
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and experience in developing secure, high-quality code
• Knowledge of authentication mechanisms such as SAML, OAuth, and others
• Ability to test code and applications across various platforms (iOS, MacOS, Linux, Windows, Android, and more) to ensure functionality, security, and quality
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to document and track detailed information related to development tasks and issues
• Continuous development and lifelong learning mindset
• Willing to take responsibility end-to-end, beyond just implementation – You build it. You run it. You release it. You maintain it
