Position

Popcorn is looking for an ambitious and talented Lead Game Designer who would like to leave their mark on the mobile gaming industry. The right fit has a hard-headed approach to games, mechanics and a constant itch to create the next hit. In order to set you up for success, we provide everything you need within our dynamic and employee-centric company structure. Full responsibility and ownership of your project, you are the game!

What will you do:

• Rapidly create and iterate mobile game concepts
• Participate in the development of concepts for collaborative games while defining the main guidelines
• Analyze and turn ideas & features into detailed game mechanics
• Own all aspects of the game
• Collaborate closely with the developers designers and other stakeholder teams to ensure fast and solid execution
• Inspire and manage a growing team of super talented and enthusiastic game designers
• Innovate or fast follow design trends in the market to stay on top of trends and draw user-focused conclusions

Your qualification

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a Lead or Senior Game Designer position preferably in the field of hyper-casual game or casual game
• You are a self-starter and self-motivated
• You have very good communication skills and can present your ideas in a clear and concise manner
• You have a track record with successful mobile games
• You are a creative thinker, with an ability to create a wide variety of game situations based on simple mechanics
• You have a strong intuition for game mechanics and game flow 
• You are an avid gamer across multiple genres and stay current on emerging game trends, new mechanics

Will be a plus

• Experience with Unity
• Experience with graphic development (Particle Systems, Shaders)
