We're the technology company behind a home services revolution. Our mission is to help tradespeople get the work they want and homeowners hire the tradespeople they need.
At Instapro, every team member’s perspective and experience advances our mission. We are committed to creating a workplace that reflects the communities we serve. We work hard to mitigate biases in our recruitment process and foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.
As an Engineering Manager, you will be empowering our engineers and serving them, making sure that their goals are clear, facilitating decision-making within the teams and ensuring that nothing prevents them from working. Furthermore, you will delegate as much as possible to your teams and focus on monitoring progress and identifying possible risks. You will also develop your teams by reviewing performance and supporting the growth of each engineer. You will contribute to our technology vision and strategy and to the success of the company autonomously and proactively with the aid of our agile approach to work. You will support the team in the direction and technical solution thinking. Next, you will coach each member in learning, experimenting, and improving their skills while working in a team environment.
Your role includes the following:
Leading engineers in a cross-functional team and growing high-performing inclusive teams
Creating growth plans for engineers and coaching them to further develop technical and people skills
Hiring and retaining the best engineers for your team to ensure the best team composition
Bringing context and data to teams to help them understand the direction the company is taking
Contributing to our technology vision and strategy and helping engineers make decisions in line with it
Become an advocate of our vision and support executing it together with the team, Product, UX and other department managers
You have strong experience in leading, developing and mentoring cross functional engineers in an agile environment
A solid background in software engineering
Experienced in object-oriented and/or functional programming languages
You are proactive, organized and goal-oriented
Very good English skills complete your profile
