The Ford Vehicle and Mobility Cybersecurity team is a highly motivated group of cybersecurity engineers who validate and verify security controls related to vehicles, connected devices, and connected networks. This is a highly technical position and requires a motivated individual. The role is instrumental in securing Ford’s vehicle and mobility products and services.

What You’ll Be Able To Do

• The Vehicle Cyber Security Systems Engineer will serve a key role in shaping the future of product development security for vehicles (e.g. Connected Vehicle, Autonomous Vehicle, Electric Vehicle, Ford Smart Mobility, and V2X Security). The engineer will work within cross-functional team to do/support the following:
• Manage and apply cyber security requirements and deliverables into IT processes and product development
• Work with feature owners to manage the progression of each feature through development to ensure security is built in to the design upfront
• Own and maintain cyber security specifications and standards unique to the connected vehicle ecosystem
• Support cyber security requirement and testing development
• Ensure systems, features, components are designed using robust engineering processes including threat analysis, risk assessment, adoption of security requirements, security audits, and vehicle ecosystem assessments
• Interface with external organizations on cross functional issues related to cyber security
• Develop and utilize global supplier expertise to meet cyber security expectations
• Provide presentations to management (program milestones, security governance board, etc.

Your qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field of study
• 1+ years of experience with Electrical Product Development engineering and tools
• 1+ years of experience with IT, cloud, mobile systems (HW, SW, and operating systems)

Will be a plus

• Strong communications skills to explain security requirements to development teams, product management, marketing, and senior management
• CISSP, CEH, CISM, or other security related certifications
• Threat and Risk Assessment Methods and Concepts
• Familiarity/experience with IT/cloud/mobile systems (HW, SW etc) system environments
• Strong communications skills to explain security requirements to development teams, product management, marketing, and senior management
• Project Management, Security & Controls, Technology Lifecycle
