We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our EAME HPC team available and motivated to regularly travel on our clients’ sites.
You’ll report to the EAME Remote Sites IT Manager and join a team of peers located in centres across the region. Your role involves providing onsite applications support to external clients within the EAME region, with a strong emphasis on Middle East and North Africa countries such as Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, or Algeria.
You will be in charge of installing, configuring, troubleshooting, patching, and upgrading CGG software solutions. Alongside software support, you’ll also handle hardware and operating system installations, troubleshooting, and support, specifically within a Linux environment. You will work in very close collaboration with the geoscientists who have the software and scientific expertise.
When not travelling, you will support the main HPC Hub in the UK. You will also be expected to participate in the innovation and development of new technologies, work with other team members to implement new features, and to help automate and analyze problem resolution.

The job requires to travel regularly within the region, for durations going from a few days to a few months. CGG has in place a compensation policy for travels on clients’ premises.
