Jumbo Tech Campus: where it all happens

Jumbo is the fastest-growing omnichannel supermarket in the Netherlands. Since technology is getting more and more important Jumbo established the Jumbo Tech Campus (JTC), a technology-focused environment where testers are working on test automation and implementing qtest as a test management tool.

Your job as a SAP tester

At JTC Core we are strengthening our testing practice within our teams and are looking for the right test professionals, people who are the linking pin, acting between all disciplines, and who feel a strong responsibility for the quality of our system products. We are looking for people with the right test DNA and an enthusiastic test mindset, people with a focus on quality, and who are able to engage both scrum team members and the business.

As a test professional at JTC Core we expect you to carry out test plans in an independent way and, on the other hand, work closely together with your colleagues.

You will further work on test automation & implementing qtest as test management tooling. You will also contribute to this journey and make sure qtest is embedded within your daily work.

Your main tasks as a SAP Tester:

• Define clear acceptance criteria for user stories that will be the basis for testing
• Define test goals, perform exploratory testing sessions, provide fast feedback to your team
• Help the team to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
• Pro-actively follow up on issues and escalations and provide suggestions for possible resolutions
• You also contribute by bringing in view on volume and performance testing and make sure this is acted upon
• Proactively contribute to mature the Jumbo way of testing
• You proactively think about how to do proper regression testing
• You collaborate with the business users and support them in doing User Acceptance Testing
• Collaborate with other software testers to help grow a shared testing mindset across teams

Your team

You will be a member of the JTC Core where test professionals exchanges ideas, discuss test automation, test tools, and test methodologies in order to constantly improve themselves and so improve the quality of the testing. You will work in a Agile Scrum team that consist of various developers, tester and IT consultants. In our open work culture, we discuss everyone’s development and everyone is in charge of their own path. Depending on your background and career preferences, your team lead will be Marieke, Coen or Hanno.

Your qualification

What will make you successful at Jumbo?

We are looking for people with a critical and exploratory mindset, you are able to communicate with different (business) stakeholders. Of course, you have a sharp eye for detail and a high-quality mentality. Being part of a development team also means being curious about the activities that are closely related to your core responsibilities as a SAP tester.

You are not only a really good test engineer but also a great team player, you care about your team and you like to share and learn in our knowledge guilds or perhaps organize fun events to improve skills and knowledge. Our IT department is an international environment with 20 different nationalities: so your communication in English is good.

And do you also have:

• A minimum of 2 years of testing experience
• Experience in SAP testing
• SAP SD/MM related experience
• Testing certificates 
• ISTQB certificate; nice to have
• Experience in the e-commerce domain is a pre
• Experience in automation; nice to have
