By improving, reinventing, and innovating the features, usability, and appeal of our hugely popular e-commerce app. And all of this in a highly stimulating setting because we promote autonomy and embrace multidisciplinary ways of working. Every skill we need to run and develop apps is embedded in the teams. That encompasses ‘the usual suspects’ like iOS, Android, web Front End, and API/backend development skills but also includes QA, business analysis, design, and product ownership capabilities. This approach enables us to efficiently develop the right functionalities for our users while safeguarding app stability. With over 2,800,000 active installs and an average Play Store rating of 4.6 (110k+ reviews), we have every reason to believe that users genuinely enjoy our apps, and your Android development skills should boost ratings even higher!

What you do as Android Developer

In this role, you will strengthen our Feature Teams by radiating your Android enthusiasm and inspiring colleagues with your app development skills and customer-obsessed vision.

Our Feature Teams are jointly responsible for the Android and iOS apps, as well as for the website and the API that connects the various front ends to our tech landscape. And yes, we go the extra mile (or two) to make sure these front ends run smoothly. Today. Tomorrow. And beyond.

In addition to boosting the success of our Feature Teams, we need you to advance our Android chapter. Together with chapter colleagues, you are responsible for determining and promoting the Android app’s long-term strategy and sustaining the codebase’s overall health and architectural integrity. And yes, experimenting and – if demonstrably successful – implementing new technologies is an integral part of your job! How can we offer customers a winning mix of relevant content and compelling features? How can we further improve our apps’ ease of use and wow factor? Tap into your skills and knowledge and show us.
