In addition, we’re building a new DevOps Center in Rotterdam and are looking to grow this to over 200 new hires over the next few years. Our ambition is to become the #1 DevOps Team. Position

You are a software engineering specialist, fascinated by tech stacks and not afraid of process-management or DevOps tasks. With this skillset, you are an ideal fit for us!

What you move

You will work in an international and geographically distributed team with cultural diversity and interact with other DevOps engineers, product owners and business engineers. You play a vital role in our agile DevOps team. With your passion for programming, you take Swisscom to the next level.

• In an agile environment, you implement tailor-made software solutions using state-of-the-art methods and tools
• Your team belongs to "Shared Enabling and Platform Services" tribe, which is the Shared Service organization in Swisscom
• Thanks to you, we will provide our employees with the right tools to support the transformation to a Lean Agile organization
• By actively supporting our users with requests & incidents, you not only make them happy but also identify selfservice & automation opportunities
• Together with your team you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of the application

Your qualification

• Experience with any of the following technologies is a must:
  • Java 11, Spring Boot, Angular 6+, Python, git
  • Cloud native development with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Relational databases like MariaDB or MS SQL Server
• Experience with any of the following technologies is highly appreciated:
  • C# .NET Core, Groovy
  • Monitoring solutions like Prometheus and Grafana
  • Generic understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell
  • Jira administration
• Excellent problem-solving skills to develop quick and sound solutions that resolve complex issues
• Hands-on experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
• Your main task is to enhance selfservice & automation in the current environment (Jira, self-deployed tools) to give more power to the users
• You will build and use the existing CI/CD pipelines and you will test and monitor the services using the given tools
• Ready to address operational issues through DevOps, take on responsibility and actively supporting our users with requests & incidents
• Team-oriented, very adaptable, a flair for continuous improvement
• Very good English, German is a plus
