Position

Cloud Platform Engineer (IaaS Enterprise Service Cloud)

You are a vRA and Cloud Director (VMware) specialist, fascinated by cloud computing and paving the way for others at scale. With this mindset, you are an ideal fit for us!

What you move?

You work in an international and geographically distributed team with cultural diversity and interact with other DevOps engineers and product owners. You play a vital role in our agile DevOps team. With your passion for IaaS, you take Swisscom's internal cloud platform to the next level.

In an agile environment, you are responsible for tenant management and the onboarding of new projects on our Enterprise Service Cloud platform.

In this role you will act as the interface between the users of our internal Enterprise Service Cloud and the platform team responsible for the underlying infrastructure. You will focus on providing on-boarding support to the users. You will also maintain and further develop scripts and tools to manage the on-boarding. Besides your focus on our Enterprise Service Cloud, you will also have the opportunity to work with additional technologies and platforms like Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes (Tanzu), and AWS thanks to our hybrid cloud setup.

As a platform engineer, you adhere to solid engineering practices to achieve your goals. You are eager to learn and willing to share your knowledge and experiences with others so that we can constantly improve together. With your proven expertise in the field of IaaS, you complement our team optimally. This team belongs to the "Shared Enabling and Platform Services" tribe, which is the Shared Service organization in Swisscom. Thanks to you, we can offer our internal cloud offerings as a fully-integrated, secure and compliant self-service platform to all Swisscom internal DevOps teams.

Your qualification

In your daily work, you will get in touch with the following tools and technologies. The more you are already familiar with the better. Everything else you will learn on the job:

• vRA and Cloud Director VMware (previous experience expected)
• JAVA, Python, Javascript/Typescript (nodejs)
• Kubernetes (Tanzu)
• Cloud Froundry
• AWS

We are also looking for someone who:

• Has excellent problem-solving skills to develop quick and sound solutions that resolve complex issues
• Is Team-oriented, very adaptable, a flair for continuous improvement
• Has Very good English, German is a plus
