Coolblue is one of the largest and most customer-friendly online retailers in the Netherlands and Belgium, and we're also active in Germany. We have a wide range, from telephones to laptops and from washing machines to fridges. Our own delivery service delivers packages in our vans or electric bikes. We also have an installation service and customer service. With 6300 Coolbluers, we work hard every day to make customers happy. For example, we give expert advice and deliver your package to your home the next day.

Position
What does a Data Engineer at Coolblue do?
You collaborate with other Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers to build resilient and scalable solutions in a fast moving cloud environment.
You are at the heart of our technical operations, leading the design of complex data processing pipelines that are essential for ingesting and transforming data from different sources. Your role is crucial in managing and optimizing data flows, ensuring efficiency and scalability in our data infrastructure.
You support your team and lead on the technical side, your proficiency in cloud computing, along with your engineering skills empowers your team to build resilient and scalable data solutions.
You navigate conversations with stakeholders and ask questions to key business individuals. This approach ensures our data strategy is seamlessly integrated with our commercial objectives, showcasing your blend of technical and business acumen.

Your qualification
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering using both Python and SQL
- Proficient in Cloud Computing & DevOps technologies e.g. GCP, Docker, Terraform, Kubernete
- Experience building custom ETL pipelines and orchestrating them using Airflow
- You are familiar with streaming pipelines using technologies like Kafka, Spark and Dataflow
- Experience in Cloud Data warehousing, preferably using BigQuery and dbt
- You have experience with continuous integration, logging and monitoring
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
