Position

As our new Ab Initio Software Developer, you will be part of the Financial Operations IT Tribe and you will be working on developing new systems and continuously improve existing systems to increase their stability and performance. They will be used by some of our other IT tribes, such as Acquiring, Platform Performance and Stability, Fraud and Reporting. The systems we build will require your skills in Ab Initio, performance profiling and optimization. You will be working in a fast moving environment. You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle, where you will get a lot of freedom to decide on code base and architecture. You will interact with developers, testers, architects, operations, DBAs, project management and various business stakeholders to guarantee success throughout the development lifecycle from requirements validation to deployment. You will be part of an agile team and you will get a chance to work with the latest technologies.

Your qualification

• A Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Computer Science, IT Engineering or Information Systems
• At least 4 years of working experience as a software developer in Ab Initio and ETL solutions in complex environments, with an excellent track record
• Excellent knowledge of Ab Initio plans, graphs, and psets, plus best practices, general ETL, and data modelling
• Experience with Ab>Initio Co>Op 3.2.1 and later
• Experience with Ab>Initio Query>It, Express>It, Control Center, EME, TRMC
• Experience with Ab>Initio METADATA Hub
• Experience with Continuous flows, webservices, XML, JSON and Queues in Ab>Initio
• Experience in writing PDL
• Good knowledge of Unix environments and SQL
• Fluency in English

• A hands-on and proactive approach
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership
• To have the ambition to grow through experience, training and on-the-job development
• To believe in daily improvement, easily adapt to change and have fun while doing it

Will be a plus

• Experience in developing systems from scratch 
• Experience in designing and developing databases 
• Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum or Kanban) 
• Experience with continuous integration tools (such as Bamboo or Jenkins) 
• Knowledge of NoSQL distributed databases and/or Hadoop 
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse and/or Business Intelligence solutions 
• Knowledge of Oracle databases and Oracle Fusion 
• Experience in the financial industry and/or e-commerce business
