About EFFECT Photonics
EFFECT Photonics develops and delivers highly integrated optical products based on InP (Indium Phosphide) which is the material of choice for creating efficient laser light sources, waveguides, modulators, and photodiodes used in optical communication systems throughout the world.
Extensive development work and European funding has already been invested to develop and refine the processes needed for the integration of multiple optical functions within a single chip.
Position
- Define, design, and implement measurement scripts, data processing, and analysis algorithms. Based on the functional description of the requirements
- Develop GUI functionality for R&D measurement setups
- Perform testing and validation of developed Software
- Help to improve existing centralized data platform and visualizations
- Collaborate with the development and test engineers
- Provide support to R&D engineers across different processes and test stations
Your qualification
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The perfect candidate has a solid background with Python and C++ programming, and experience in programming applications that interact with hardware platforms. He or she has an analytical mindset and can quickly grasp high-level physical phenomena such as simple laser dynamics, photodiode behavior, optical spectra, and optical power measurements.
Furthermore, you have:
- At least a BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Python and C++ development
- Experience with selected Python frameworks (PyQt, Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib)
- Strong understanding of; multi-processing, threading, queuing, framework, and architectural options
- Proficient in the use of version management (SVN, Git)
- An understanding of databases (SQL, Postgres), Azure services, and continuous integration/deployment is pre
- A structured way of working and attention to detail
