EFFECT Photonics develops and delivers highly integrated optical products based on InP (Indium Phosphide) which is the material of choice for creating efficient laser light sources, waveguides, modulators, and photodiodes used in optical communication systems throughout the world.

Extensive development work and European funding has already been invested to develop and refine the processes needed for the integration of multiple optical functions within a single chip.

Position

EFFECT Photonics is looking for an experienced program manager to provide help and support to design teams for new products as requested, especially next-generation SFP transceivers.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

Efficient program structuring and execution of the SFP projects, through rigorous program management. The program manager will work alongside EFFECTs engineering teams to help the teams rapidly converge and progress good solutions. The program manager will create and drive the execution of the project plans with an eye on optimization for fast execution and risk management.

The expected deliverables are:

Clear program structure, milestones, and timeline
Demonstration of close tracking of weekly deliverables

The program manager will work closely with PLM, Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, Process Engineering, and Manufacturing teams, while reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, and providing updates and insights on both technical progress and development of the teams. There is an opportunity for the scope of responsibilities to develop over time.

Your qualification

The program manager will be well versed in best practices and methodologies in creating and driving the execution project plans, especially in dynamic a startup environment. You have 3 years of experience in a program management role in a high-tech start-up and a Technical degree in science or engineering.
