EFFECT Photonics develops and delivers highly integrated optical products based on InP (Indium Phosphide) which is the material of choice for creating efficient laser light sources, waveguides, modulators, and photodiodes used in optical communication systems throughout the world.

Extensive development work and European funding has already been invested to develop and refine the processes needed for the integration of multiple optical functions within a single chip.

Position

EFFECT Photonics is looking for a seasoned Marketing Director with a large experience in the B2b segment, ideally in the Photonics Transceiver Industry or Telecommunication. You will be also asked to develop and coach a small team of young and ambitious Marketing Managers to further develop to the next level.

Main responsibilities:

Participate in the development of branding and corporate identity initiatives
Develop and implement marketing plans, including promotional calendars and programs, new product introductions, and other marketing projects
Develop and manage marketing budgets
Develop sales forecasting and product branding plans
Establish and grow a target market share
Monitor costs and budgets
Conduct customer, brand, and product research initiatives
Offer expert advice to develop innovative advertising, public relations, social media, and events
Negotiate with media partners to guarantee advantageous contracts
Work with the new business development team and sales teams on brand initiatives
Manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers, and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Supervise a marketing team, including hiring, training, workloads, schedules, and deadlines
May oversee the operation of a company’s website or email marketing program and provide analytics review
Set KPIs and provide a performance matrix

Your qualification

The ideal candidate has an MSC/MBA. degree and more than 15 years of experience in B2b marketing, and global adaptation of marketing measures. You have above average skills in Investor relationship management, press coverages, and are well connected to the relevant media and analysts. Furthermore, you have skills in team leadership, and coaching and a demonstrated ability to grow and develop teams. You are able to deliver excellent results in time and have a general knowledge of Social Media, WordPress, Tradeshow organizations.
