Position

WeTransfer is looking for a Software Engineer in Test who will be supporting development and platform teams, in helping to automate as much as possible and provide quality monitoring and alerting. As shipping great products is a team sport, active communication and collaboration are vital here. You’ll play a key role in the development of our products, balancing individual responsibilities with the support that you provide to the teams to level up our game.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with engineers and product owners to ensure the application is tested, meets our definition of done and provides an awesome experience to our customers
• Create and maintain functional and non-functional web and mobile automated tests
• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design and develop creative solutions to multi-platform testing problems
• Create Gherkin Scenarios
• Steer test approach to include mocks, stubs and automated frameworks through early engagement

Your qualification

• Deep knowledge of Web and Mobile automation testing
• Hands-on experience with BDD
• Strong coding skills in Javascript (WebdriverIO, Jest, CodeceptJS, Karma, etc) Selenium Webdriver, Appium
• Good understanding of HTTP and RESTful APIs
• Solid knowledge of QA processes and principles
• Ability to prioritize test scenarios and testing approaches based on risk and make trade off decisions where appropriate
• Experience of working in Agile
