Position

Stream is looking for a React Team Lead to take our React Chat SDK to the next level. This is a full-time job, either onsite in our Amsterdam office or remote in the EU timezone. Visa sponsorship is possible.

What you will be doing

Your main focus will be to lead and grow our React SDK team, which in turn is responsible for our React Chat SDK (Github). In addition to people management, you will also be responsible for direct contributions to the codebase.

Responsibilities

• Growing and leading the existing team
• Hiring and onboarding new team members
• Proactively improving the codebase - increasing test coverage, stability, and performance
• Integrating new features from our roadmap
• Supporting existing clients and prospects through various channels
• Improving SDK documentation
• Collaborating with Design, PM and other SDK leads to improve the consistency between our implementation

Your qualification

Our ideal candidate:

• Is people-oriented, and has experience with mentoring and guiding
• Has formal or informal experience leading large and complex projects
• Has a solid understanding of the browser/framework performance
• Enjoys working with Typescript
• Has a keen eye for UX detail
• Practices TDD and appreciates the value of a solid test suite

Will be a plus

• Previous experience building software libraries for other developers
• Experience producing technical documentation
