Lemonade is a licensed insurance carrier offering renters, homeowners, life, and pet insurance in the United States, contents and liability insurance in Germany and the Netherlands, and renters insurance in France.

Lemonade replaces brokers and bureaucracy with bots and machine learning, delivering zero paperwork and instant everything. The company uses artificial intelligence and behavioural economics to set rates for the homes and renters it insures.

Position

We’re looking for a software engineer who’s a true tech geek, creative thinker, and master of execution.

At Lemonade, we build our products using microservices mostly written in Typescript (using NestJS) and run over Kubernetes. We love infrastructure-as-code and use Pulumi to define it. We’re also obsessed with automation - Cooper, our internal chat bot, manages all our development flow, from setting up our development environment to creating git branches and deploying services to production.

Your qualification

• 2-5 years experience as a software engineer
• BSc in Computer Science or Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
• Familiarity with development environments and tools (Github, linux, debuggers etc)
• You’re an ambitious team player who loves getting shit done!
