Position

We are looking for a Linux Engineer to join us in our Amsterdam office and assist the team in supporting other squads.

You will join a team with a wide range of responsibilities, from data centre planning and management to supporting and troubleshooting applications. The goal of your team is to offer support and be responsible for all the layers from the bare metal machines, operating system and sometimes application support.

Our environment consists of 400+ servers, including physical servers, virtual machines and containers in multiple datacenters across Europe.

What you will be responsible for:

• Convert as much as possible the infrastructure to IaC 
• Automate recurrent processes 
• Complete management of physical and virtual infrastructure 
• Monitor the state of our servers

Your qualification

• Good knowledge and understanding of the Linux OS:
  • Experience with CentOS (or any other RHEL derived OS)
  • Bash scripting or Python
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Solid fundamentals of security concepts
• Good knowledge and understanding of virtualization platforms:
  • Experience with VMWare or KVM is a plus 
• Good knowledge and working experience with Ansible
• Good understanding of server hardware
• Experience with environments of 250+ servers in multiple locations
• Experience maintaining and operating backup solutions 
• Experience with patch management solutions 
• Experience with git
