About Catawiki

Catawiki was founded in 2008. It was originally designed as a website where collectors could manage and keep track of their collections online. Visitors can still add new items to the existing catalogue of collectibles. Unsurprisingly, the name Catawiki is a combination of the words ‘catalogue’ and ‘wiki’. In 2011, Catawiki began hosting weekly auctions in various categories, including art, antiques, classic cars, watches, jewellery, fashion, books, and stamps.

Position

The Supply vertical in Catawiki is the linchpin of the marketplace. Catawiki is known for the exceptional and rare objects sold to passionate buyers worldwide. To do this, we have two areas: Seller Experience and Curation. The Seller Experience teams (Seller Activation & Seller Growth) help sellers sell their special items and be successful on Catawiki. This involves driving growth, optimizing their experience, and assisting large professional sellers to gain efficiency. Curation area helps our Experts curate and merchandise lots & auctions, and make sure that experts have necessary tools to be effective.

The role has a strong focus on leveraging AI to build assisted submission and curation, together with maturing Catawiki Taxonomy practice (product data classification).

As Group Product Manager at Catawiki, you will inspire and lead multidisciplinary teams within one of our verticals to:

• Relentlessly focus on solving the most impactful problems for our customers and business, set goals and measure progress towards achieving them
• Lead and mentor product managers, helping them build a world class product and empowering them to be their best at Catawiki
• You will drive both the longer term strategic direction of a Vertical as well as individually contribute to execute key projects 
• Translate business needs into product roadmaps that reflect customer insights, stakeholder input and company goals 
• Manage and work closely with your stakeholders: the commercial teams and the experts, to get the best ideas in and subsequently get everyone aligned for fast implementation
• Balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail in execution

To be successful in this role, you need to be passionate about building data products and working with AI, able to craft a vision, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Your qualification

In addition to your demonstrable experience managing a team of product managers in a fast-growing online company, you also have:

• A strong belief in customer-centric product development and data-driven approach
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor product managers to achieve their full potential
• Experience working with multiple senior stakeholders, natural collaboration skills and ability to communicate in a clear and concise way
• Energy, a commercial focus, and a sense of urgency to everything you touch; you’re a self-motivated and results-driven person who is not afraid to get their hands dirty to solve a problem
• 3+ years building AI/ML Products is highly desirable
• Demonstrated success in building business-oriented workflows and tools
• 2-3 years of experience leading several product teams as Group Product Manager or Head of Product in a fast-growing company
• 5+ years of hands-on product management experience
