Position

Java Engineer in Data

As a Java engineer in Data, you will be building and training the brain behind the Adyen platform, with a focus on scaling access to the intelligence and capabilities businesses need to realize their biggest ambitions.

Among our teams, you might join:

• Graphyen
  We enable product teams to easily build scalable and reliable solutions using graph technologies. You will be building and supporting Ayden's evolving graph platform to power highly-available, low-latency applications as well as enabling large scale graph analysis and machine learning. Together we help businesses recognise returning shoppers and identify fraudsters.
• Score
  We build the risk engine to mitigate seller fraud and create features to make fraud investigation easier for risk analysts. We are constantly improving the efficiency of Score by adding and customizing new risk checks, processing account behavior signals, and finding links among platform users. You will work on migrating relevant data from different sources, creating APIs for various functionalities, optimizing queries, minimizing latency, keeping the data secure and the system highly scalable.
• Revenue Accelerate
  We unlock revenue by tailoring our payment flow to the volatile behavior of issuers, at scale. This includes implementing features such as: retrying of rejected payments, routing to different available connections, and card validations with dynamic amounts. You will work on a mission-critical product that requires plenty of creative thinking on a regular basis. Together we get a lot of exposure to Ayden's top merchants (i.e. Google, Microsoft, Netflix) and frequently collaborate directly with some of their product teams.

Your qualification

• You have experience with Core Java, web services, REST APIs and SQL/PostgreSQL
• You like to challenge the status quo and ask the ‘why’ question
• You enjoy working in a cross-functional team with roles like Data Science, Frontend, and Product
• You have a sharp eye for detail, and know how to balance precision with pragmatism
• You love learning new things and can make good choices based on thorough research
• You value involving other people to hear different perspectives
