Position

As a senior web developer, you will play a pivotal role in bringing the Truecaller IM service to a brand new Truecaller experience for the Web. Here’s an opportunity to work on something new with the guarantee that it will be used by millions the day it’s launched!

You will work closely with the Product Team to finalize the scope for Truecaller for Web, bring these requirements to life. Long term, you will be responsible for the maintenance as well as the future development of the said service.

What will you work on?

• Work with the Product team to identify requirements and execute them
• Lead design and implementation of a brand new Truecaller experience for the Web
• Write simple, understandable, testable, and efficient code with a focus on solid technical stability and great user experience

Your qualification

• 5+ years of experience in Web development
• Experience in creating responsive websites using HTML and CSS/ SASS
• Experience working with frameworks such as React or Vue
• Good understanding of modern JavaScript development including application lifecycle, asynchronous server communication, and UI components
• Comfortable writing server-side code in Node.js and have experience using Web frameworks such as Express.js
• Know how to work with and configure build tools and bundlers such as webpack och rollup
• You are passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Self-motivated

Will be a plus

• Experience writing universal JavaScript applications with frameworks such as Nuxt.js or Next.js
• Experience with application state handling such as Redux
• Experience working with mobile applications
• Experience working on a product that’s used by millions of users
• Knowledge of end to end encryption; safe communication between backend and frontend and general security
