Position

As an Optimization Engineer you will:

• Join a world-class team of Quantum and Quantum-Inspired experts with an extensive track record in both academia and industry

• Work with Fortune-500 customers from government and private sectors

• Collaborate with the founding team in a fast-paced startup environment

• Contribute to designing and improving Multiverse’s optimization codebase

• Design and implement new Quantum and Quantum-Inspired optimization algorithms to solve cutting-edge problems across multiple industries

Your qualification

• Master degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics or related field

• 3+ years of industry experience in formulating, implementing and deploying optimization solutions

• Good theoretical understanding of mathematical optimization problems

• In-depth understanding and expertise of optimization algorithms for LP, MIP and/or QP

• Knowledge of various methods such as branch-and-bound, metaheuristics and greedy algorithms

• Hands-on experience with commercial solvers (CPLEX, Gurobi, ...) or open source solvers

• Advanced knowledge of Python and related scientific computing tools

• Ability to work with a diverse team of people, both in-person and through online resources

• Perfect command of English language, good command of Spanish language is a big plus

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics or related field

• Knowledge of ML/AI concepts and models

• Experience using git, unit testing, and docker

• Ability to write grant proposals

• Ability to write patent applications
