Position
As an Optimization Engineer you will:
- Join a world-class team of Quantum and Quantum-Inspired experts with an extensive track record in both academia and industry
- Work with Fortune-500 customers from government and private sectors
- Collaborate with the founding team in a fast-paced startup environment
- Contribute to designing and improving Multiverse’s optimization codebase
- Design and implement new Quantum and Quantum-Inspired optimization algorithms to solve cutting-edge problems across multiple industries
Your qualification

Master degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics or related field

3+ years of industry experience in formulating, implementing and deploying optimization solutions

Good theoretical understanding of mathematical optimization problems

In-depth understanding and expertise of optimization algorithms for LP, MIP and/or QP
-
Knowledge of various methods such as branch-and-bound, metaheuristics and greedy algorithms

Hands-on experience with commercial solvers (CPLEX, Gurobi, ...) or open source solvers

Advanced knowledge of Python and related scientific computing tools

Ability to work with a diverse team of people, both in-person and through online resources

Perfect command of English language, good command of Spanish language is a big plus

PhD Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics or related field

Knowledge of ML/AI concepts and models

Experience using git, unit testing, and docker

Ability to write grant proposals

Ability to write patent applications
