Position

We are looking for a Mid/Senior Data Engineer who is passionate about building data infrastructures.

You’ll be responsible for helping the company move forward from scattered data sources to a new, reliable source of truth. This will be used in financial, reporting, and product dashboards directly by the executives, managers, and final business users.

Working within the Data & Analytics team, you will help us with your skillset to retrieve corporation’s data from different sources while building reliable data pipelines for extracting, transforming, storing, and making data accessible for data scientists. We want to achieve a shared understanding of the data and implement solid data governance, assuring data quality.

The successful candidate will be someone with proven experience evaluating, designing, and delivering data solutions. Beyond technical prowess, soft skills like communicating technical information to coworkers, a strong passion for problem-solving, and attention to detail will be essential.

What you'll do:

• Extract, transform, store, and organize key business data assets from different sources using medium-scale batch and real-time data pipelines
• Design, develop, test, and maintain data infrastructure to ensure data is accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it Getting involved in decision-making on tools and infrastructure
• Assist with data requirements gathering, data-related issues like reducing manual data processing, and ensuring scalability within the infrastructure design
• Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team and business people to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools and reporting projects, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization

Your qualification

• A hands-on engineer who is willing to get involved in a decision-making process to work on continuous improvement in the area
• At least 4 years of experience in developing and maintaining data processing infrastructures
• Experience designing, developing, optimizing, and monitoring ETL pipelines
• Experience with some ETL tools (e.g., Apache Nifi, Luigi, or similar)
• Experience manipulating, processing, and extracting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources
• Experience working with relational (Postgres) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases
• Good knowledge of Python
• BSc degree in Computer Science or other STEM fields
• Full professional English (the team communicates in English)
• Good documentation and organizational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for solving challenging problems
• Open to learning new technologies

Will be a plus

• Familiarity with analytics BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, etc.
• Experience in preparing data for predictive and prescriptive modeling
• Experience in monitoring data flow and data provenance
• Experience working with big data
• Experience working with blockchain (Bitcoin, Ethereum)
• Background and passion for analytics/statistics
