Position
We're on the lookout for a talented Platform Developer to join our dynamic software development crew. The perfect candidate will boast a profound understanding of the content management platform, coupled with robust skills in Java, JavaScript, and digital asset management systems. This role calls for a dedication to pioneering solutions and presents an opportunity to tackle intricate projects involving extensive system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft and enrich applications within the platform to align with business needs
- Seamlessly integrate with other software solutions using RESTful APIs and tailored integrations
- Execute features utilizing Java for backend and JavaScript for frontend development
- Harness the power of Node-RED for crafting and overseeing workflow automations
- Oversee data handling and transformations using XML and XSLT
- Ensure the integrity of databases and optimize queries for peak performance
- Uphold version control using systems such as Git
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle and beyond deployment
- Keep abreast of industry trends, continuously enhancing programming skills and embracing new technologies
Your qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Demonstrated developer experience with a strong grasp of Java and JavaScript
- Proven proficiency in utilising Node-RED for workflow development and management
- Hands-on experience with a content management platform or digital asset management system
- Proficiency in XML, XSLT, and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and expertise in system integrations
- Strong problem-solving prowess and analytical acumen
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Certifications related to Java, JavaScript, or project management methodologies like Agile or Scrum
- Previous experience in media or publishing industries
