Position

Senior Front End Engineer will get the chance to deal with new interesting challenges and a modern tech stack, with open source libs like React and Node. A new team member is someone who is craving scalable problems and dealing with optimisations and would you be interested in working with an international product team focusing on developing the new face of our products. Working collaboratively with your team on the final appearance that is used by millions of every single day is our day to day goal.

OLX is the second Portuguese website with the most visits, every single day in Portugal. Our team is also responsible for other major Internet Portals in each sector, Standvirtual and Imovirtual alongside its European counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Research, suggest and implement new solutions to our problem domain and assure the deadlines and high standards of quality
• Contribute to scaling our platform to the next level of modularity & share-ability while working on architecture, tools, standards and practices for the engineering European organisation
• You'll become an evangelist in assuring the quality practices that bring longevity and success of the product
• Along with the teams, you'll lead in building scalable products in a fast release environment

Your qualification

• Advanced knowledge of HTML5, with DTP knowledge like HTTP, Rest and Json, alongside CSS3/SASS and Javascript (ES6) to develop new features and modules
• You have a mindset on code quality, working in a TDD driven environment alongside implementing under a CI\CD environment, while working to also create and maintaining pipelines guidelines
• Superb knowledge of building JS apps using React framework and Redux and also experience with Server Side Rendering and Node.js
• Experience with dependency and build management (npm/yarn)
• Experience with Agile processes such as SCRUM, Kanban to ensure the streamline of the development process
• Working and collaborating with international teams, you will also work independently while leading initiatives
