Position

OLX is the second Portuguese website with the most visits, daily! Our team is also responsible for other major Internet Portals in Portugal, nº 1 in each sector, Standvirtual and Imovirtual. Due to our international growth, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer.
 

Responsibilities

• Support a Global distributed Classifieds Platform Evolution (Scalability, Deployment, HA, Performance)
• Build and implement Infrastructure services to enable our distributed Platform growth
• Build and customize Tools to speed up and simplify daily operations for Engineers Bring Ideas to life to scale our Platform to the next level of Modularity & Shareability
• Cooperate with other Engineers to advocate sensible, scalable, systems design
• Automate as much as humanly possible and always configure as Code
• Provide Best Practices and share our Knowledge with the rest of the Teams
• Support our distributed Application groups around the world by working closely with teams

Your qualification

• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience building and scaling High-Traffic Web Applications (SQL/NoSQL/DNC/DNS)
• Understanding of scalable cloud-based solutions such as AWS
• Expertise in Configuration Management Frameworks such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible
• Strong background on Linux/Unix and Networking Systems
• Proficiency in at least one high-level language: Python, Java, Ruby, Go
• Excellent Problem Solving, Critical Thinking and Communication skills
• Good verbal and written English
