Java Engineer - Personalization Team

Position

As a Java developer at TIDAL, you will have the unique opportunity to work with the latest technology on one of the most sophisticated music streaming platforms. Our technology stack currently includes AWS, Spring Boot, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and Lambda. We constantly evaluate the latest technologies and we have the freedom to choose the right ones to solve the task.

The Personalization team’s mission is to turn data into actionable insights by understanding user behavior and using content analysis. We build the systems and algorithms that decide what content to show to a given customer and how to display it.

In this role you will have the possibility to imprint your craftsmanship directly on our product and the way people listen to music worldwide.

Some of the tasks you will be challenged with:

• Build RESTful APIs scaled for high throughput and low latency
• Design and develop personalized features for our users
• Process and analyze real-time data streams
• Develop new algorithms using data from Elasticsearch and DynamoDB
• Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers in productizing and deploying models to our personalization platform

Your qualification

• You are an experienced Java developer and you are eager to work with the latest Java technologies
• You are experienced with and excited about API driven development
• You have experience with microservices
• We consider it an advantage if you know Elasticsearch
• You are a self-driven engineer who enjoys working in a team
