About SEEN
SEEN is a Norwegian MarTech company specializing in data-driven content (primarily personalized film), creating hyper-relevant communication for the receiver. Our technology makes it possible to deliver unique, data-driven video to each individual recipient, regardless of the number of recipients.
Our technology is currently used by some of the Nordic region's largest brands to improve their customer journeys. The technology contributes to customers, members of customer clubs, subscribers, and other customer masses, getting a much better and more personal digital customer experience. We are currently experiencing very strong growth and have tripled the number of employees in the last 12 months. Currently, we are working on designing and developing a new system that will play a crucial part in revolutionizing how businesses communicate, and we are now looking for dedicated, motivated, and experienced developers to join our core team in our exciting journey!
Position
As a developer at SEEN, you will establish workflows and develop new systems to produce data-driven content and personalized videos! We are redefining how video for the web is utilized in many ways, making it more data-driven and less linear. The systems and tools we are building allow instant generation of dynamic motion content, and our goal is to become a world-leading provider in next-generation storytelling and data platform solutions!
You will take part in redefining our entire video rendering technology (practically a game engine), creating a brand new solution with the team. You will get opportunities to contribute to the development of SEENs rendering stack which involves C++, OpenGL and shaders. In the future we will potentially explore technologies like Vulkan and WebGL.
The system we are building will serve as a new foundation for our technology, and it will be able to:
- Provide a fast, expandable, and secure foundation for our business moving forward
- Provide a web UI and API for our partners and customers to interact with, being able to generate their own content
- Generate millions of data-driven videos in real time, at scale in GCP
Current tech stack on the backend:

Responsibilities and tasks
- Take part in designing and planning the development of entirely new systems
- Participate, and help innovate the product by assisting in backend projects
- Implement and push development workflows within the company
- Work with backend and frontend developers on a daily basis
Your qualification
- Experience in the technologies above
- Experience working with service-oriented architectures
- Flexible with, and curious to learn new languages
- 5+ years of development experience
- Experience in video technologies and codecs: OpenGL, FFmpeg, Vulkan, HLS, h264
- Nice to have: Experience with GCP
