About Otovo

We put solar panels on your roof, with no hassle and no up front cost to you. With our unique planning software and ecommerce expertise, we calculate how much you can save and how much you can impact the environment by going solar, and tailor a solar panel system to maximize your home's solar resource. Then we help finance the installation with our solar loan provider(s), creating a low, fixed monthly payment, that compares more and more favorably with electricity prices from the grid, as power gets more expensive. We are also a fully licensed power company, operating a virtual microgrid of solar power makers and regular consumers buying the surplus power. We thus provide you with clean energy at night or in winter, when your panels don't yield enough to cover your consumption. No hassle. No up front cost. Just clean, inexpensive energy.

Position

• You will work with every part of our system, from the depths of our geo datasets and pricing engines to the details of our user interface
• Work across all the parts of our product, from app and grid power sales, through our installer platform to the sales flow
• Write code that is maintainable and free from unnecessary complexity
• Work with customers, installers, and colleagues to create the best solutions
• Guide and assist the rest of the team

At Otovo, we're using Python/Django, React and React Native. We’re not too concerned about your specific experience with these tools, if you are as good as you need to be and will learn these tools in no time at all.

Your qualification

Otovo is a young company and needs people who can help where it is needed. While we are looking for allrounders, some special abilities will still be appreciated. Maybe some of these:

• Mad map skills. We combine satellite data, laser data and public information and display it on maps
• Math wizardry. Calculating solar radiation for all of Europe's homeowners is no easy feat
• Machine learning - for real. We all know the buzzwords, but tell of about your experience and we're all ears
