Position
Betsson Group is looking for an Architect to join their architecture team and play a critical role in driving the company's mobile strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality apps that meet customers' needs:
Tasks:
- Design and Architecture: Develop comprehensive architectural solutions for iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) platforms. Ensure that the mobile architecture aligns with the overall enterprise architecture strategy
- Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI designers, and developers, to create effective and innovative mobile solutions. Lead the mobile architecture discussions and decisions
- Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of the latest developments in mobile technology. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mobile development teams in Swift and Kotlin
- Performance Optimization: Optimize mobile applications for maximum speed and scalability. Address any technical issues related to performance bottlenecks
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of the development process
- Supporting People Leads, Development Teams and Product Managers on technical route(s) to take
- Participate in workshops/exercises/brainstorming/presentations/knowledge-transfer sessions with the rest of the architecture team and other parties
- Participate in pre-solution work for new initiatives to outline high-level solutions
- Participate in design reviews to ensure all solutions adhere to established guidelines
- Identification of refactoring activities needed to address technical debt, performance, scalability, availability, reliability, and security
- Support development teams and product owners to make sure the team has relevant NFRs defined (KPIs)
- Contribute to formalizing architecture governance principles across the company by establishing guidelines around integration patterns, data storage, orchestration, messaging and other concerns
Your qualification
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role
- Evidence of experience working on large-scale/high-load platforms
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar role, with a strong focus on iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) applications
- Deep understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and mobile ecosystems
- Experience with APIs and mobile backend integration
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Fluent communication in English
