Mindvalley is developing an online university for all ages focused on transformational education. In other words, everything that school forgot to teach us.
We create online programs with a dynamic curriculum, and organize real-world events including a rotating campus that moves from city to city. We design a transformational learning experience in every area of personal growth including mind, body, relationships, and performance.
We’re expanding to schools bringing transformational education to schooling systems around the world.
Position
Mindvalley is looking for a talented Engineering Manager/Lead with a passion for teams and innovation who already has a track-record of scaling up tech organisations. But you are not only a great manager and a great team builder. You’re also a great communicator, an excellent recruiter, and a great issue resolver.
Responsibilities
- Lead Engineering teams
- Co-own the vision for the technology stack together with the CTO
- Build strong teams, together with the Tech Leads, by hiring, coaching, mentoring and expanding our culture of feedback
- Scale up teams and operations and support timely delivery of technical solutions to address business needs
- Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices and help develop and evangelise great engineering and organisational practices
- Evaluate outsourcing opportunities, strategy and optimisation of velocity
- Grow a collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values
- Potentially growing some exposure to AI for the future
Your qualification
- Strong tech foundation, preferred previous experience working as a software engineer or at least as part of engineering teams
- Track record of building teams and fostering cooperation. Ideally working with teams of 20+ and coordinating multiple engineering teams at once
- Ability to adapt and work in both structured and lower structure team formations. Ideally you have a mix of experience in start-up and scale-up companies
- Ability to set a direction and communicate it effectively to his/her team
- Communicate at all levels of the organisation (CEO, CTO and executive teams)
