About PayPay
PayPay, a fintech company that achieved more than 47M users within around 3 years since its launch in 2018 has hugely diversified employees who are from 40 different countries. To build "PayPay", we allied with Paytm, the biggest payment service company in India. Based on their customer-first technologies , we created and expanded the smartphone payment service in Japan.

About our working style, we had introduced a new personnel system called WFA (Working From Anywhere*). At PayPay, we work fully remotely in Japan. Position
We are looking for a senior web frontend engineer to join PayPay. You will be building features that change how people in Japan use and manage their finances and business. As a fast-paced company leading the payments industry, we need our engineers to be versatile and enthusiastic to take on new challenges in order to stay at the forefront.
Team Missions
- To propose the optimal UI/UX for consumer/merchant users and lead project development with an understanding of the business background
- To identify issues in existing systems, propose technical improvements, and design safe, secure, and scalable systems, and monitor and operate them
- To work on solving cross-organizational problems and improve the technical level of the entire team and its members
Responsibilities
- Work with Product Managers, Designers and various tech teams to implement features
- Work to bring product and organization vision to life
- Contribute to the team by sharing knowledge, participating in code reviews, and providing feedback to uphold and ensure best practices
- Improve the product’s long term technical quality
- Triage, debug, and resolve product issues

Your qualification
- At least 5 years of industry experience developing secure web frontend applications in JavaScript and/or other transpile-to-JavaScript languages
- At least 1 year of industry experience with VueJS (preferred), or React
- Experience with designing frontend architecture
- Experience with leading frontend project development
- Software engineering best practices and computer science knowledge
- Business level of English
Will be a plus
- Experience with launching a frontend product
- Experience with frontend performance monitoring and optimization
- Experience with iOS or Android development, either with the native toolkits or with a framework such as React Native
- Experience with designing and implementing server side RESTful APIs
- Experience with building frontend hosting infrastructure and deployment pipelines

Salary
- Annual salary paid in 12 installments (monthly)
