About Mujin
Mujin develops and sells "intelligent robot controllers" with the goal of building a common platform for industrial robots.
Conventional robots are suitable for automating repetitive work, but traditionally they've been hard to install in environments where products and surroundings change. Most robots have complex settings that are hard to change for each use case. Mujin's tech solves this problem using technology called motion planning. It allows them to provide solutions that replace heavy but simple work done by humans with automation by robots. The technology is used primarily for logistics and manufacturing applications.
Position
Join Mujin, a trailblazer in revolutionizing robotics, as we spearhead the development of a cutting-edge cloud-based control center - a revolutionary platform that empowers our global clientele across US, EU, Japan, and China. This platform seamlessly oversees, updates, and manages their robotic deployments through a unified interface, marking a significant stride in our mission to liberate humanity from hazardous, tedious, and mundane tasks through automation.
As the Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will be at the helm of innovation, collaborating closely with our CTO to curate an exceptional team. Together, we will create a world-class suite of cloud services that transcend borders, allowing end-users to interact with deployed Mujin products worldwide.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Innovate and construct customer-centric cloud applications that seamlessly interface with Mujin Controllers worldwide or simulate virtual instances, providing users with an immersive simulation environment
- Spearheaded the implementation of robust user authentication and access management systems, ensuring the highest level of security for our clientele
- Lead the design of backend systems that support intuitive user interfaces, overseeing the implementation of these designs and establishing a robust quality assurance framework
- Champion the development of high-reliability services with redundancy measures to guarantee uninterrupted operations
Your qualification
- Proven leadership experience, steering teams of software engineers in the creation of SaaS applications
- Proficiency in industry-standard cloud tools and technology stacks, showcasing a keen understanding of cloud architecture
- Full-stack development expertise with a hands-on coding approach, coupled with a passion for pushing boundaries
- Extensive proficiency in C++, Golang, and Python, demonstrating a versatile skill set
- Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, expertise in GraphQL, or similar technologies
- Track record of success in building applications on major cloud platforms, particularly AWS or equivalent
Preferable Skills
- Previous experience in developing cloud-based applications for robotics or automation industries
- Proven ability to drive innovation and streamline processes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Solid foundational understanding of front-end technologies, such as React and JavaScript

- Flexible, depending on experience and skills
