Position
At Bending Spoons, we’re aiming to build one of the greatest tech companies in the world. Based in Milan, Italy, we're already a leading global app developer, with major mobile video editor Splice and top fitness app 30 Day Fitness in our portfolio. But that’s only the beginning—and our sights are set a whole lot higher. We're looking for that single-minded someone who’s obsessive about building extraordinary products that change users' lives for the better.

- Embody Bending Spoons’ values in everything you do
- Study the world through the customer’s eyes, with the goal of understanding them and solving their problems—often before they’re even aware such problems exist. Do so through extensive research—customer, market, and competition alike— in a hunt for improvements and opportunities
- Plan carefully and execute your mix of short-term experiments and big bets with curiosity and commitment
- Know your products’ numbers inside out
- Distill your learnings into the strategy and roadmap for your product, marrying wild ambition with rationality and pragmatism
- Galvanize your team and others to follow you, leading the implementation
- Foster a fantastic atmosphere within your team. Create an environment that’s caring, while also charged with ambition and the urgency to excel
- Actively involve all functions (design, engineering, monetization, and marketing) and make sure each one is performing at its best
Your qualification
- An overwhelming ambition to build amazing products. You’re obsessed with building extraordinary products that customers just can't live without
- Relevant experience. You know what it’s like to work in an agile, cross-discipline team with designers and engineers alike. You've already led a product (or part of one), so are familiar with prioritizing maintenance and improvements. You possess deep knowledge of A/B testing methods
- Excellent logical-analytical abilities. You’re a quick learner who can investigate and effectively pick up new concepts on your own. You can solve unforeseen challenges with creativity and structure, and do so independently
- Common sense. You have empathy for the customers and sound judgment when it comes to their needs
- Pragmatism. Far from being too academic or obsessive in your perfectionism, you understand that, when getting things done in a competitive world, speed is often as important as quality
- Rationality and self-control. You make decisions based on facts—even in moments of stress or emotion
- Drive. You’re energetic, hard-working, and you persevere through adversity until the job is done—and done impeccably. You’re results-oriented and always aim for excellence in what you do
- Diligence, organization. You can be entrusted with big responsibilities, starting with coordinating the complex work of a complex team
- Humility. You’re down to earth, eager to listen to people’s constructive criticism, and ready to get your hands dirty with whatever the team needs to succeed
- Communication. Your communication, both written and oral, is structured and crystal clear
- Proficiency in English. You read, write, and speak proficiently in English
- Availability. We work 9-6 GMT+1. Our schedule is flexible, but we prefer to work together most of the time. That’s why you should be based somewhere within a similar time zone—between GMT-2 and GMT+3
