Position

Plans and directs all aspects of engineering activities and projects within and ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization road-map. Lead the Engineering team on a day-to-day basis and provides expert technical guidance. Identify and implement Engineering best practices. Work cross functionally with PMs, Data, Design, Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, etc. to ensure that Engineering resources are allocated effectively as per the company’s needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead through example by consistently contribute code as an active and visible member of the engineering team, provide guidance & support to promote an innovative and challenging work environment
• Be able to balance the delivery of business features with engineering excellence, as well as managing long-term technical debt/investments 
• Drive technical architecture decisions and lead efforts to ensure successful execution of strategies while ensuring architecture integrity and standards
• Develop and maintain technology processes and procedures that uphold engineering culture and product strategy
• Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that impact the team’s ability to meet goals

Your qualification

• Experienced technology leader with 10+ years in software development with a minimum of 3 years experience managing a suite of applications and all supporting resources
• Strong technical / architectural background including modern / large scale systems design 
• High proficiency and technical leadership in PHP (Symfony Framework), GoLang, NodeJS 
• Expertise with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform 
• Experience in coordinating / managing a distributed development teams. Proven track record of exceptional talent management of highly talented, diverse teams
• Be the steward of software engineering best practices (including code quality, test coverage, product quality), processes, abstractions, metrics
