Position
Holidu is looking for a new member of the Provider Integration department and Team Lead for the Provider Connectivity Team. Together with your team, you will own the data ingestion and data enrichment layer of our search engine. You will be responsible for our feature development and for further development of our architecture of our platform.
Our Tech Stack
- We are writing the Platform, and other applications, with a micro-service approach, using Java 11, with Spring Boot, running on Kubernetes
- Data storage: Elasticsearch 7, Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
- Heavy usage of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git
- Web-Application and internal applications written with ReactJS
- Native iOS and Android Apps written with Swift and Kotlin
- Monitoring with ELK, Grafana and internally developed technologies
- Unit tests written in Kotlin
Responsibilities:
- As the Team Lead for the Provider Connectivity Team you will lead a group of experienced developers
- Your team and you are fully responsible for our platform which is used to onboard new providers and manage our existing inventory. Overall, the platform consists of data ingestion through APIs, data enrichment and additional developed products like price request services
- Use state of the art technologies to build new tools and maintain existing ones
- Create and manage highly scalable applications
- As a team lead you have the responsibility to manage a team of 5 backend developers. This involves encouraging individual growth for each team member, recruiting new developers to the team, offering consistent and valuable feedback to your team members as well as formal quarterly and annual reviews
Your qualification
- A degree in Computer Science, or a related field with multiple years of development experience after your studies
- Experience as a team lead is a plus but also informal leadership experience is very welcome
- Professional experience as Java backend developer
- You have worked or you have the strong motivation to work with AWS, Java, Spring Boot, ElasticSearch, Microservices, Redshift, Spark, Flink, Kubernetes, data pipelines and the rest of our stack
- You love coding and building world class products!
