Your future team

• The Data Science Team is part of the Business intelligence department at Holidu and has the clear mandate of turning data into value for the Company
• You will be part of the data science team, made up of other experienced and passionate data scientists, that is in charge of using Machine Learning and statistical models to improve the Holidu website for our user as well as to deliver business critical model for the internal use of the company. The data science team is working closely together the Analytics team and the Data Engineering team, and is planned to double in headcount in the next year 

Our Tech Stack

• Flexible data science environment (Python, Jupyter, Spark, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Java, Scala)
• Our data pipelines are developed in house with Kafka, Redis, Flink, DynamoDB, Redshift and ElasticSearch
• Data storage with Redshift, S3, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis
• Heavy usage of AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Git
• Search engine runs on Elasticsearch. Web-Application and internal applications written with ReactJS 
• Monitoring with ELK, Grafana and internally developed technologies

Your role in this journey

• You will have access to our huge datasets and you will work in collaboration with stakeholders, from a variety of departments organized in squads. Together your objective is to build the best products for our customers 
• You will work in a squad-based organization with your team of data scientists and alongside backend developers. Together, you are responsible for delivering an unbeatable product that offers the best possible experience to our users
• You will be part of the team which is fully responsible for developing and improving our machine learning company-wide
• You will have the freedom to implement your own ideas on how to improve and develop our products further
• You will make use of our large datasets to create valuable models that will be used by millions of users 
• You will be responsible for intelligently utilizing our data to optimize conversion
• You will constantly conceive and bring models into production, monitor them, and iterate upon your observations to improve their performance
• As a team lead you have the responsibility to manage your team. This includes encouraging individual growth for each team member, recruiting new developers to the team, offering consistent and valuable feedback to your team members as well as formal quarterly and annual reviews

Your qualification

• A degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field
• Professional experience as Data Scientist in tackling business challenges using Data Science and Machine Learning 
• Proven record of successfully solving or improving a business-related feature by taking Machine learning models from ideation to production
• Very good knowledge of Machine Learning in general with hands-on experience with at least regression, classification, clustering, and recommender systems
• Track record of supervising or at least mentoring Data scientists in the past
