Here you would work with enthusiastic, senior developers in an agile, international environment with modern tech-stack (#Functionalprogramming, #Scala). Your colleagues would be e.g. Oleg, who built the GraphQL Library in Scala, Arnaud, who builds the acceptance-test library Cornichon, and Yann, who organises Scala meet-ups.

Position

• Deliver maintainable, well documented and thoroughly tested code for state-of-the-art eCommerce solutions based on our commercetools API 

• Take ownership: You build - you deploy - you maintain!

• Analyse requirements and discuss technical approaches

• Work closely with customers, partners, technical consultants, solution architects and project managers


Your qualification

• Min. 2 years of work experience as a Java Software Engineer
• Solid skills with the latest Java features (generics, asynchronous/non-blocking programming, functional API, Stream API, Optional etc.)
• Good knowledge of web applications which follow modern design patterns (IoC, MVC/MVP)
• Deep knowledge of modern web frameworks like Spring or Play Framework
• Practical experience working with testing patterns (Unit-/Integration-/Web-Tests)
• Aspiration to constantly improve yourself and learn new technologies, concepts, etc.

Will be a plus

• Experience with Build tools (e.g. Maven, Gradle, sbt)
• Automation tools (e.g. Kubernetes)
• Cloud providers/technologies (Docker, Serverless)
