Position
Trivago is looking for a versatile Fullstack Developer who is passionate about engineering, evolving, and running multiple microservices that power the trivago Magazine and trivago’s email marketing.
Marketing Solutions team is developing and improving several internal and external microservices with 100% passion and the freedom to use and learn about trivago’s cutting-edge technology stack. If you’re interested in joining the team as fullstack developer, we want to hear from you!
What you’ll do:
- Build external and internal microservices that grant trivago’s marketing teams a competitive advantage
- Take an active part in the development and maintenance of the microservices that power the trivago Magazine and our Email Marketing solutions around Salesforce Email Studio on backend- and frontend-side
- Participate in architecture decisions and innovative feature development tasks
- Troubleshoot and debug the microservices
- Stay up to date with current frameworks, tools, and libraries
- Use your creative mind and develop strategies together with the product team to improve user experience and outcome
Your qualification
- 2-3 years of experience in developing software in a language such as PHP or Python
- Proficient knowledge in JavaScript frameworks such as Nuxt.js, React, Vue.js, or Angular – or, at least, the will to learn about it
- Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- Intrinsic self-motivation and a passion for problem-solving
- Fluency English (our company language)
Will be a plus
- Experience with Docker and container schedulers such as Nomad, Docker Swarm, or K8s
- Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
- Good understanding of user requirements
- To be an honest person who enjoys working in a team
