Position

real.digital is a remote first company. You can choose any part of Germany to settle in and work 100% remotely if you wish. Likewise you can come visit us in one of our offices in Cologne or Darmstadt once in a while or even work fully from there.

• As an Infrastructure Engineer (f/m/d) on our Platform teams, your goal is to deliver the best possible developer experience and guarantee a reliable and performant production environment
• You work closely with other Infrastructure Engineers (f/m/d) to build interfaces for self-service, maintain infrastructure and design pipelines for our developers and data scientists
• From CI/CD to container orchestration on Kubernetes, from infrastructure and networking to IAM and mailing: You work on a wide range of strategic and high-impact topics
• You evaluate and work with various services within cloud platforms (GCP)
• You develop and deploy cloud services via infrastructure-as-code and use GitOps practices where it makes sense

Your qualification

• You have experience in both software development (preferably GoLang) and infrastructure
• Your background is Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Architect or similar
• You bring sound experience with monitoring and alerting (Datadog, NewRelic, Sentry or similar), IaC (preferably Terraform & Ansible), CI/CD, and cloud platforms
• You are used to rotating on-call duties
• You have profound experience with containers and container orchestration, preferably with Docker and Kubernetes
• You have a GitOps mindset and are familiar with principles like DRY, preferring to solve problems in a continuous improvement way
• As a plus, you are familiar with service meshes like Istio
• You possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, fluency in coding and high traffic / high availability system architecture and a desire to tackle complex problems
• You are a strong team player and enjoy collaborating with different people and profiles as well as share knowledge and strive for continuous development and learning
• You have excellent communication skills, are willing to embrace our company culture and values and enjoy working in an international, english-speaking team
