Position

In Vimcar Infrastructure, Engineers are primarily a team of enablers. They are a centralised team, that works on bigger long-term projects, while creating tools for software developers, to help them push their code to production safely. In this role:

The Role

• You build our AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (with AWS CDK)
• You design, build, and maintain our core infrastructure of complex and highly scalable systems in the cloud
• You drive observability improvements for our applications and infrastructure
• Automate everything that can reasonably be automated, including CI/CD of all infrastructure systems and services
• You’re a liaison to our software developers, and you make sure that they have the infrastructure resources and knowledge to run their applications effectively

• Language: Typescript
• Cloud: AWS, CDK
• Monitoring and logging: Datadog, ELK
• CI/CD: Jenkins, CodePipeline, Github
• Database: PostgreSQL

Your qualification

• You have a solid experience in a similar role, and you’re proficient with AWS
• You are able to write production-ready code (we use Typescript, however previous experience with Typescript is NOT required :))
• You’ve been working with Infrastructure as Code before
• You can easily pass your knowledge and share ideas in a clear and understandable way both in speaking and writing
• You enjoy working autonomously and have no problem structuring your to deliver various projects
