Position

SO1 gives their employees to take on important projects from the first day and offers unique learning opportunities. 

You will:

• Track the state of the art in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Operations Research and Optimization
• Share ideas for models, prototype them, deploy to production and run A/B tests
• Develop mathematical abstractions covering business needs in flexible ways
• Communicate ideas, capabilities and workflows to business stakeholders
• Work both independently and in small focus teams on the full project lifecycle

Your qualification

Must have

• A creative, curious, analytical mindset open for ideas coming from: psychology, neuroscience, statistics, econometry, physics, machine learning and data science
• Passion for fast, hands-on prototyping with tight feedback loops
• Solid familiarity with fundamental statistics, information theory, probability theory, linear algebra
• Experience in building custom ML algorithms and pipelines from scratch
• Python, SQL

Highly desirable

• Strong core computer science, data structures and algorithms
• Experience working with very large datasets and live production systems; with gradient boosting and/or deep learning
• Experience with either of: representation learning, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, semi-supervised learning, ranking & recommendation, metaheuristics and optimization, generative models

Will be a plus

• Public activity in the ML scene (papers, conferences, meetups, videos, open source projects)
• Coding skills in any of: C++, R, Scala, Matlab
• Background in research/fintech/adtech
