Position

The Sauce Labs Engineering team needs passionate Senior Software Engineers to build out the Sauce Android and iOS Real Device Cloud.

The challenges around building a mobile device cloud are an amazing opportunity to proof and expand your existing knowledge of high scale cloud systems. You’ll be an integral part of a tight-knit agile team, working closely with our product manager, scrum master, and your talented and friendly peers in engineering.

As a senior software engineer, you will build important infrastructure with new technologies and contribute meaningfully to technical discussions and code reviews. Your code will support high-availability scalable operations relied upon both by other teams within Sauce Labs as well as by customers and 3rd-party developer integrations.

You should be a strong systems thinker, as you will work closely with other engineering teams to help direct the flow of data within the pipeline and ensure consistency of data delivery and utilization across multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership while personally developing, defining, and evolving software in an agile development environment using the latest frameworks and patterns
• Collaborate with all kind of different teams to make rdc an integral part of the sauce testing cloud
• Design and implement microservices for use in Kubernetes clusters 
• Produce high quality, maintainable code with excellent test coverage and documentation
• Cooperate with our Ops and Security teams to protect our systems and data from exploits, denial-of-service attacks, and other security vulnerabilities

Your qualification

• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of software development experience, with significant time spent developing backend services, APIs, and database engines
• Excellent command of the Python and Java programming language
• Strong sense of ownership and a real passion for engineering complex systems
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to project manage and work with multi-functional teams
• Deep knowledge about CI/CD processes and its implementation using Jenkins and/or GitLab CI
• Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Helm
• Experience contributing to open source projects
