The travel industry is ever evolving and Priceline is at the forefront. As pioneers we are creating new and exciting ways for our customers to experience {big deal} moments. As a member of our fast moving Software Engineering team, you will create groundbreaking technology to enhance our supply building capabilities for new and existing products.

In this role you will get to:

• Team up with a group of fellow software developers and domain experts, with the goal to integrate a large number of airline APIs into an API platform, while achieving a harmonized level of functionality and content across all integrated airline APIs

• Build up the functional capabilities of our platform in the areas of flight search, booking, payment, servicing and reconciliation, and expand those as the capabilities of airline APIs increase

• Be an integral part of our Software Engineer team and participate in decisions related to the improvement of our Elixir code base and K8s infrastructure

Your qualification

• Experience in developing with Elixir

• Production experience in general back-end development

• Passion for clean, maintainable, and testable code, software craftsmanship and domain-driven system design

• Ideal candidate will have working experience or knowledge on Rust and/or LiveView

• Good understanding of functional programming concepts and concurrency problems

• Solid knowledge of the principles for building highly scalable, distributed systems

• Experience with Phoenix, or the desire to learn it quickly

• Experience in the travel industry and distribution technology, or the desire to learn it

• Understanding of the web technology stack (ex. HTTP, cookies, asset loading, caching, REST, Websocket)

• Understanding of APIs and proficiency with data exchange formats and protocols

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English (English is the company’s official language)

• Relocate to Berlin
