Position
We are looking for a Design Director to scale our Product Design Team (40+) and provide the best experience to our users. As Design Director you will take responsibility for a broad set of teams (Product design, User research, UX Writing, Design Ops, Brand Design) delivering solutions for our users.
You will work with the Chief Product Officer focusing on creating coherent strategies to understand and solve a defined set of user needs. On the B2C side, you will impact the experience of patients' access to healthcare (60M+ users). On the B2B side, you will help level the playing field for health personnel (300K+ users) by building unprecedented online experiences for healthcare.

What you will do
- Build and manage a talented, diverse, inclusive team of designers and leaders internationally (France, Germany and Italy now, more countries in the future)
- You will establish a strong design culture by making sure that your teams (Product Design, User Research, UX Writing, Brand Design and Design Ops) speak the same voice
- You will collaborate closely with product, insights and tech to make data-informed decisions on the user experience of our products. You will translate those decisions into Design Strategy
- You will drive collaboration and vision across the company to build alignment on priorities leading to product design and execution
- You will work with designers and design managers to ensure we have a deep understanding of user needs and that their design solutions fit into a consistent product experience by actively participating in key initiatives
Your qualification
- You have 10+ years of experience leading design teams. This should include mentoring and leading managers
- You have a broad product design background and are well-versed in data-informed product design and development
- You have experience growing a strategic design practice within design team
- You have leadership and communication skills to help you work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders such as the Product Team & the Engineering Team and external partners alike
- You thrive when developing great people and great products
- You’re comfortable working in spaces with some ambiguity, and defer to data-driven
- You have experience in hiring for the design teams. You will work together with our Talent Acquisition function to ensure our interview processes are thorough and best-in-class

About the work policy for this role:
We provide 2 working modes:
- Office-based: you work from the office (Berlin, Milan, Nantes or Paris)
- Hybrid: you work remotely 2 to 3 days per week and from the office on the other days
