Position

Currently, we're looking for an Engineering Manager in Paris to take on a leadership position in the Development Team. Your role will be to set up your team for success, helping them to grow in all directions (from development to communication and productivity) while ensuring they achieve their short-term objectives and long-term goals.

Not only will you support the team but also we will be happy to code with you because we know that you love being hands-on to solve problems. Just to let you know we're passionate about Ruby/Ruby on rails yet still we're open for a diverse experience. You can work with different technologies, languages and frameworks if you’re not afraid to adapt to an unknown technical stack.

Responsibilities:

• Helping the team plan, executing and shipping releases respecting timelines and high quality development
• Working closely with the product and leadership teams 
• Coaching and mentoring Engineers to excel at their work and grow
• Hiring and onboarding Engineers to build a diverse and excellent team
• Leading by example, coding alongside your team when necessary
• Being a culture advocate within the company living by our core values
• Continuously working on our Engineering Brand, producing content, attending events, leading some talks and being creative 
• Living our values: GRIT (problem-solving in growing environment), TRUST, CANDOR, HUMILITY 
• Implementing process as needed like weekly syncs, team's handbooks etc.

Your qualification

• Deep interest in people and mentoring
• At least 5 years of software development experience
• Successful team management or lead experience
• A passion for shipping quality code
• Great oral and written communication in English
