Do you have a sweet spot for building amazing UI and an interest in Fintech? Would you like to work in a team that has a significant impact when conquering new markets? We have just the spot open for you!
We are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to join one of our Finance Group teams, working on enabling smooth country operations and ensuring locally compliant financial invoicing. As Wolt operates internationally in over 23 countries and over 100 cities, we have to make sure that we meet local requirements in financial matters. This team makes sure that our product is ready to enter new markets by building integrations for invoicing and taxation and automating financial processes for local country teams. The team also has an important role whenever we expand to new business domains, such as retail and Wolt Market recently. Naturally they work closely with our expansion, legal and finance teams to make this happen!
You’ll be working together with an experienced team of backend engineers, a product lead and a team lead and in this role you will have ownership of the frontend side so there will be room to take responsibility. The teams at Wolt are autonomous and each team member is able to influence decision-making, ways of working and priorities. The team is based in Helsinki HQ but welcomes a new member to the Helsinki HQ or working entirely remotely elsewhere in Finland, Germany, Denmark, or Estonia now and in the future!
Your qualification
We use modern Typescript and React and are looking for someone with prior experience working with them. If you happen to have an interest in moving across the stack, this team works with Python and Kotlin in the backend. An interest in Fintech will help you succeed, but please don’t let it get in the way if it’s a new area for you - we’re sure you’d get a grasp of things quickly once you start!
In addition to technical expertise we value your motivation to learn new things you don’t yet master, ability to make decisions together with your team and willingness to collaborate with different teams Woltwide.
