Are you up for a challenge and join THE Python team? Our award-winning consumer application welcomes you to help us make it even better than ever! You would enter the consumer backend team responsible for the development and operations of consumer-facing APIs and backend features.
The team ensures reliable and scalable data services to consumer clients and makes sure we always offer the best customer experience and evolves our core customer interfaces to the next level. This is a great opportunity to directly impact how the company is providing value to the customers. The team is at the heart of many projects within Wolt product development and works closely with our web, mobile, and retail teams. From a technical perspective, you get to work with tremendous scalability challenges. That sounds like a tempting challenge, right?
Your qualification
You might be the one if you are an engineer with experience designing and building top-class software and APIs. We mostly work with Python (Flask), MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and appreciate it if you understand what it takes to build and operate scalable software services in production. Enthusiasm towards working with Python is essential. However, strong expertise in another backend language is genuinely relevant as well. Our massive backend software is powered with Kubernetes in AWS so proficiency in these platforms and infrastructure is a huge plus.
Aside from technology, we expect you to be a product-oriented problem solver, a good communicator, willing to collaborate with people in- and outside of your own team, and keen to bring up issues in a constructive manner to the team and to Wolt at large. If you have prior experience in delivery management and stakeholder management, you will get nice bonus points.

The compensation will be a negotiable combination of monthly pay and Wolt stock options. The latter makes it exceptionally easy to be excited about our company growing and doing well, as you'll own a piece of the pie.
